Infant Immunization Week 2017

Set to Launch Campaign as Part of Infant Immunization Week

Offering “user-friendly” approach to complex topics

infant-immunization-weekOlympia Fields, IL – April 20, 2017 – Aunt Martha’s announced today its plans for National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW), the annual observance to highlight the importance of protecting infants from vaccine-preventable diseases.  This year, NIIW is scheduled to be held April 22-29.

“National Infant Immunization Week provides a valuable opportunity for Aunt Martha’s and other health care providers to tell people how important it is for children to be vaccinated,” said Dr. Charles Barron, the organization’s Chief Medical Officer.  “Childhood vaccinations are one of the best ways for parents to protect their children against vaccine-preventable diseases.”

In addition to its ongoing efforts to educate the parents and caregivers of its pediatric patients, Aunt Martha’s will conduct a week-long online campaign, publishing a daily series of articles and social media posts that respond to questions and address concerns related specifically to childhood immunization.

The campaign has been built around real-life conversations that Aunt Martha’s medical staff has had with patients.  According to Barron, it will cover topics that are meaningful to new parents and to those with older children.

“We know that healthcare professionals are parents’ most trusted source of information about vaccines for their children,” said Barron.  “We also know how important it is to explain things in ways that are clear and easy to understand.  This campaign is designed to be very user-friendly.”
