Partnering for Solutions in Child Welfare Conference

Child Welfare Conference
Aunt Martha’s Youth Service Center, The Illinois Department of Children & Family Services and Children’s Home and Aid have collaborated to bring the inaugural “Partnering for Solutions in Child Welfare Conference” on Friday, September 17, 2010 at the Carleton Hotel in Oak Park from 8am to 2pm. Workshops will feature Chicagoland agencies presenting on topics related to the child welfare industry, including: Children Missing from Placement, Treatment Approaches of Depression in Children & Adolescents, Older Caregivers: Caring for Today’s Youth, A Candid Discussion about Medicaid Implementation, Creating Change: Artistic Approaches and Creative Solutions in Residential Treatment, Mind-Body Wellness, Transitioning Wards with Developmental Disabilities, How to Talk about Sex with Young Adults and Juvenile Re-Entry Issues. The keynote speaker will feature Miller Anderson, the Deputy Director of the Division of Monitoring from the Department of Children and Family Services.

Conference cost: $40 per registrant; breakfast and lunch included.

Early Registration will close Friday, September 10th. All registrations after this date will cost $50 per registrant.
